This video was a tremendous help, as I just bought this same unit and am having a difficult time figuring out how to output to my MacBook Pro. I tried to use the USB port with no success. You very quickly mentioned that you run the xlr outputs to a mini plug. Are you using a Y-adapter (xlr to mini)? Do you use the 800 firewire to store your recorded podcast onto an external drive?
Hi Jerry, yes am using a Y adapter, the Mac Pro seems to have low noise pre amps so this works well. Use a Drobo connected to a Mac Mini server (via FW) to store all files. This gets moved over gigiabit ethernet from the Mac Pro.
