Started the process of updating the website today to get it ready for a new ‘show’. The site evolved based on Techcast Focus and has seen a stream of visitors (over 16,000) with total podcast viewing approaching 40,000! While not in the category now known as ‘viral’ this has shown there is a desire out there for this type of information.
The new show is nothing to do with ‘Tech’ (well there may be a little tech in it from time to time) but is part of my life – A House in France. Two of us will be sharing our experiences and providing hints and tips for those (primarily Brits, but also the Dutch and others) who either have or are looking to buy a house in France.
So the site needed updating allowing the new show to have it’s space and be set up so that if/when we add yet more podcasts we don’t need to re-engineer everything again.
Having looked around for a suitable Mac tools to build the new site I settled on Rapidweaver. So far am very impressed and may well do a Techcast Focus episode on using Rapidweaver to build a website. Have used various tools in the past including Dreamweaver but Rapidweaver is much more intuitive and if you are used to Mac osX the interface is very familiar.
This blog used to be the ttfn.tv homepage but no longer, it now has to share with new friends. We hope you will still stop by and visit.
